Flat Real by Herman Dullink 11 Jan 1997 /code/hardware/memory/flat.zip (11k) A flat real mode interface - For those who'd rather kludge real mode than switch to protected mode. Conceivably useful for 4k intros which may need a quick and cheap entry into a flat memory model. Assembler, real-mode |

Flat Real Mode Interface by Juanito 11 Jan 1997 /code/hardware/memory/frmi_150.exe (37k) An interface for flat real mode from BC - Has some docs on xms and comments explaining how the interface works itself. I didn't test to see if it works. Doesn't work in v86 mode, meaning most programs made with this will require a reboot. Assembler, C/C++, real-mode |

Virtual Memory Management by Flux 11 Jan 1997 /code/hardware/memory/fxvmm210.zip (109k) A virtual memory management interface for BC - Once again, I didn't test this. This system is much more complete than the above and certainly much more useful. From the code, I'd say I'd like to work with this guy. :) Assembler, C/C++, real-mode |

Real Memory by Chatter 11 Jan 1997 /code/hardware/memory/realmem.zip (10k) Supposedly gets you past the 64k barrier in real mode - I have no clue what compiler this is supposed to compile for. It uses opcodes not allowed in BC's inline assembler, watcom doesn't use that kind of inline assembler (and doesn't need this extender anyway), and this is pointless for djgpp which only compiles 32bit pmode apps. I have neither TC (but considering that's a sub-set of BC I can assume it won't work) nor Quick C (but that's so old, it's inline assembler's probably incomplete too). Assembler, C/C++, real-mode |
