blood: ahh theres a melody ! the beat has to be faster and a im missing a deeper kick. after a while some fat distorted guitars appear. this sounds very well. the lead is not the same over and over again. i mean this tune is a whole, though it doesnt rock due to the slow speed. 65

Pretty solid lead melody throughout fitted in well with the changes in the percussion and chords. Patterns 23-26 were not necessary as they were practically the same and went on for too long. Not much use of panning also and a bit more vibrato would have helped on the lead. Overall it was good whenever the lead was playing, but a bit repetitive in between.

Very noisy 8-bitted samples...not exactly the highest quality either...one sounds ripped from a famous tracker. The chords tend to oscillate from open fifths with an eighth to major or minor triads--it plays with my head in a way I don't like...and you (the author) could have used inversions to smooth them out a bit. The lead is pretty strong--as well as overdriven. You have a good grasp of how to make a lead. You could try accenting certain notes with the volume commands if you haven't. I'm using headphones, so try to keep the lead in towards the center more (pan it a BIT but not as much as you did) and it's a cruel expirience to have the bass not centered. The rhythm is good for this style of tune. The entire tune didn't stick out in my head, however.

Nice intro, overall sound is good except for one guitar where the sample when played at low notes sounds out of time because of the click in the beginning of the guitar (sample 5). Used chords nicely, and the samples worked well together. Structure is nice, and this is what separates intermediate from rookie... i enjoyed your chorus, and you used the breaks in the song very well. Your mixing is good, although your lead is a little too loud, test this by listening to your song very softly, and see if you can still hear anything else besides the lead. Drums are nice, very well suited to this genre of song and a nice choice and quality. An enjoyable tune, Good Luck.

God, how I hate chip sounds! Couldn't you have used some more sophisticated background? The perc and lead guitar are good, but solo have mistakes. The heavy distorted guitar in the background is not a very good sample. The bassline in the end is very poor. It was better when it wasn't there...

This is a good song. There are some things about it that could use fixing, but it has great percussion, real good buildup, and a killer climax. Now *this* author knows about song progression. It starts mediocre with noticeable volume step increases, gets a little better, a little better, and when it hits the 2:00 mark, it's smooth awsome sailing from then. Samples were pretty well chosen, definately utilized well, and the song as a whole had a good "evolving mood". The only things that I would change are a couple of sample choices (particularly that windy buzz that used so much), the funny volume steps in the intro, and a softer beat when the beat makes it's first appearance. Overall enjoyable. Kudos to the author.
