The samples are clean and of good quality. However, the author used a pre-sampled sequence as the main melodious part in his song. This one sample defines the whole character of the song. The song is boring and repetitive in the 'tonal' aspect. But the drums are very original, well tracked and have a good flow. Did you know that it hurts most people's ears to play a simple sine wave without any volume, phase or pitch changes (not even a vibrato!) for half a pattern at speed *12* ? Strange song, good beats, ok samples, very mellow and trance-inducing. I got sick of that ever-repeating sample after hearing the song two times.

This song was pretty boring. A lot more could have been done with it. Mind you it was pretty groovy, there wasn't anything done with it. It was just 30 seconds of music repeated over and over again. Try to add some differences to the music and it'll probably turn out all right. The atmosphere and the technical parts of the tracking were nice, meaning there were no noticeable or distracting flaws to it.

This was an extremely... strange tune. I think that when i listened to it for the first time it actually transported me into another dimension (although I have no idea what that's supposed to mean). The tune is very original (as far as I know) and certainly enjoyable. If a little more work were put into this song, and the drum-retriggers were either fixed or removed completely this would have been better. There's nothing terribly spectacular about this tune, and the mood was never completely effective. Really, the only part of the song that I specifically disliked, was how the drum was retriggered throughout the entire song.

Your song is an awkward mesh of ambient and jazz. While there's no doubt that you use some great creative ideas, they never get fully developed, which is why it's not great in the jazz department. And as far as ambient goes, the instruments are too crisp (no reverb), and the ambient sound(s) (read: the birds chirping) is too short--it's too obvisouly looped. So, overall, this song was pretty disappointing, though I -do- comment your handle on rhythmic themes, and I hope you try and convert this song to something less ambient, and more jazzy.

When I browsed the sample set, I wondered, what can one do with such a collection? The sound was reasonably smooth in the beginning, but I must reduce your score because you use a sampled marimba riff which could have been tracked 'by hand'. The song got way too repetitive after a while. You just seem to add or change a few sequences in each pattern. You should try to insert a big change, buildup or something, every now and then. The lead was improvement, but simultaneosly the mix starts to get confused, and I think the voice sample should be either louder or softer. It is somewhere in between background and foreground now. You used the first 2 minutes to add into the song, and the last minute to bring it back to where it started. And it didn't leave very strong impressions.
