The opening guitar riff in this sound is a worry, as I have most definatly heard it before in a tracked piece. This straight away put this piece down quite a few marks. The lack of a main melody is a problem. As is the repetition. On a whole the tune does really excite or capture the interest of the listener. The samples are clear and intune, but ther tune just seems to do nothing much, alot more variation should have been put into this tune, as it seems to almost be the one base chord the while way thru.

The intro is very intresting. Not a new concept, but much better than a classic 'fade-in'. The guitar riff fits the song very, however after a while it got a little old. Realizing, of course, that a guitar is hard to do in a tracker, perhaps an additional riff thrown in would have been nice. The song had a good flow to it, however, sometimes you went back to your rookie days by using those lovely fade-in style bridges. That is to say, you had the first pattern, with the riff, the drums, etc. Then you took out the drums for a while, and messed around for about an order, then you threw the drums back in. Once was fine, but you did this quite a few times. The vocals more or less changed the mood of the song, too. I like that, but you had that going for a while, then you changed back to the regular formula of the rest of the song. It would have been nice to have something new. Again, it was the guitar riff that was partly responsable. The ending sounded good, except the tom thingies sounded de-tuned to the rest of the song, and that detracted from the ending.

First thing I marked is the reliance of this song on the riff, which must affect your score, more so since you entered the veteran division. You broke the riff in parts, good for you, but you still use it the same way most of the time. I hear some clashing notes with the organ and the riff sample. Why did you use a sampled chord, when there is no problem of too many channels with this song? Some pannings felt a bit out of place. This seems to be one-chord song, and such require even more effort and creativity than traditional lush harmonically rich pieces. Instead of evolving, the track seems to get confused and ugly when more instruments join in over the basic riff. Drumwork is decent but not very imaginitive, either. Bass should be more groovy to make this tune rock. Nothing wrong with the sample set, though. The drum samples have rich treble frequencies, making them stand out of the mix well. The vocal sample was a real delight when it hit my ears. Nuances of this song seem to consist of beat/no-beat philosophy. What I am trying to say in effect is that when you use an idea this simple, you must make use of everything else to make it worth listening. The ending is actually the best pattern of this track.

Well, it starts off okay, but one major problem with the song is it doesn't go anywhere! The bassline consists of one note, and that note doesn't change throughout the whole song. The piano added very little to the song. The main guitar riff wasn't too bad, but if you copied it and pasted it into every pattern, it would sound in place (and that's not a good thing). There was very little variety in the song. The Indian chants were out of place in this song. They just didn't seem to work well with this particular style.

Here comes another great song.... or so I thought until the third or fourth order. Then I thought it would change, but no, the same guitar riffs kept repeating throughout the whole song. If it wasn't for this, I think I would really have loved this song. It sounds like a real band is playing it, only very repetativly. I gotta say though, when that voice came in Order 27, I jumped up - it actually scared me ;-).... Maybe if it was a tad quieter? Put all that aside, and you got a great track on your hands. It could've been tracked in 10 channels, since the last 4 channels are mostly left blank. I did like the baseline, when it was there though. it could have been added a little sooner. Oen thing I found odd was that the baseline sample was over 100k.. why? Same goes for the relativly short voice (sample #8) and for sample #18. All three were over 100k, quite large. Maybe not large compared to other songs, but large for this song. Regardless of all of that, it was a pleasant track to listen to, and will be played again by me. Nice job!!!

Sounds like a jam session thatīs ok. Not enough inspiration and variation for my taste. Listen to "m6v-slts" perhaps this can help you. :-)
