That guitar riff gets boring very very quickly. I'd have thought a veteran would know better than that. The chord progression barely changes. That guitar riff seems to command the direction of the entire song, and it takes it round and round in circles. Change the script! Add a little *variety*! Take it *somewhere* than that same refrain which gets so old so soon. Hell, next time, at least try to use more than *one* guitar riff. :)

Very solid, very clean set of samples and good use of instruments, but the disco guitar gets rather monotonous rather quickly (it does show off the keyboard split rather well, thank you). It would help if you changed the rest of the song a bit more frequently or drastically. There were some mistuned samples (that string hit instrument 3 sounds sharp to me). The panning was a little bit scattered and fluttery on instruments like the guitar, but it was perfect on instrument 0Bh.... Interesting concept, but not too original (this is to the scene also very much '70s era, stylistically, given Internet years vs. solar years). Overall the song was... well, it's listenable, sure, but it's not great and it moves slow and was probably entered way too early. You had lots of time to polish left. Less haste is prudent. :-)

Nice unique samples. Incredible use of Volume effects and panning, though I do think you could mess around with volume a little more. The song got to be rather repetetitive. this was my second highest judging score. good job!

sample 4 is obnoxious Funk groove is WAY cool good use of echoing on pattern 1-2-3 the "attention" sample seems to not fit right, think about the "at-" being a pickup and the "-tention" falling on the downbeat of the following pattern. cool d&b turn at pattern 16 good use of strings in 30-34 44-47 cool break pattern 0B->2B transition isn't smooth good ending.

A funk jazz tune, well tracked, interesting, great samples, nicely done. However, this is a GREAT tune but unfinished. Where is a LEAD? Where is a main tune? Could have been my highest ranked tune so far. What a miss.
