I had just finished judging some rookie tunes, and I hoped that this tune, being entered as a Veteran tune and all, should mean an increase in quality. This was, however, not the fact. This tune is not at all a veteran quality tune. The percussion is awkward, the tune has a severe lack of continuity, the bass is bad, the lead is random sounding and shreaking. One must really expect more from a veteran tune than this. Aim lower next year.

Typical demo music. Noisy sometimes. Not really original. Some parts need some finetuning (I think). Sorry for this VERY short comment but I just realised that the actual deadline is at Sun 10/8 00:00 GMT instead of Sun 10/8 24:00 GMT! I'm terrible sorry.

Some pretty wild percussion in this pieces, and it works for the most part. However, a few faults: the string sample doesn't sound very good as used in pattern 39, channel 10; the multiple offsets merely make it sound as if it's chopped off. The arpeggiating could have been given to a less 'sensitive' sample, like a synthy lead. Overall, it doesn't sound highly original, but is well tracked nonetheless.

Since this is "emergency voting", I don't think I need to be too concerned about making comments, eh?

Another standard old demo rock type tune. The instruments sound like old amiga ST sample sets. The lead guitar was a poor choice for the lead as it was too "thin" sounding. Something along the lines of an analogue synth lead may have worked better. Samples were slightly out of tune. The chords drown out the leads and the bass is too soft. Try to give less emphasis to the chords as they blanket out the rest of the tune. Sections of the tune seemed cut and pasted together and gave it a 'stop and go' feel to the tune. The panning was average, and too much to the extreme in some parts. There were some good sections in the tune and given better samples, and better execution, would have produced a better tune.
