I don't think I've ever heard a tune quite like this one...but I did have a few problems with it. However, the samples were wonderful and the unique twist you've put on Eurro is just incredible. Your chord progression was very neat--even the timing of it was enough for me to like it. I didn't like the lead so much--playing the lead an octave lower at the same time as the normal lead didn't sound that great. The echo, however was fine. When I played the song again and muted the channel with the lower lead in it (and left the other channels alone) it sounded MUCH better--less thick, but it agreed with me more. The lead killed the mood you were creating. I didn't hear too much variation in your rhythm, but it didn't bore me to death; I didn't take off from your overall score on rhythm--it sounded somewhat synchopated to me. The panning was done well--you have a good grasp of that concept. Personally I didn't like the ending--it just cut off too much and left me very unsatisfied--work on that a bit...usually ending on the first chord in your scale adds a great deal of finality.

It's almost as if 2 people wrote this song: 1 did the progression/entire tune and another did the soloing... This score would be much much higher if it weren't for the unnecessary soloing... very cool, catchy paddy (lizardkingish) riffs in the beginning and throughout the piece and then at order 13, this solo comes in that is insane: a) its way too loud, b) its vibratoed/portaed way beyond necessity and c) its rhythmically incoherent and quite honestly doesnt fit the tune at all... besides the solo(ing), the piece had form that wasn't boring but also wasn't totally original or made me jump out of my seat, but details and transitions were very nice and clean.. also had details like the 'hits' and trills that really were complimentary touches to the style...

There are few ideas, but they don't play well together showing a lack of composition. The samples are OK, but too many simple chip sounds. This kind of tunes was good 8 yrs ago on my amiga, now it's anachronic.

Tracked with less skill than you would expect from a veteran. -.- Oldschool. Nintendo sound. Sounds like a typical '80 tune, kinda reminds me of the Nintendo (8 bit) music (but has way better quality! ;)

"Those who don't study history are doomed to re-write it." -- Solomon Short. In a whole lot of channels, I am hearing what was once easily accomplished in four channels. Four. The music is undeniably good, but it's been heard before. Captain was doing this on the Amiga in 1991. Good samples, very good technique. Originality, as above stated, is a bit lacking. The ending was a little bit on the abrupt side. Aside from that, the song is very well done and fun to listen to.
