that panflute doesn't work very well at that note... and i don't really dig the lead that it does... allthough man these piano licks sound -very- talented indeed... mmmmm, luscious blues in the brain... i dig this... it's funk it's blues it's jazz it's -very- enjoyable especially this piano solo and this piano solo... and the brass hits... nice sample choices, hard to find anything near that nice... i wish this would never end... however, there are a couple problem spots... some of the bass lines and drumlines sound muted like channel 1/2 on pattern 26 and the like, if only they were delayed or offset by one from each other it'd be so much cleaner... mmm... but this song musically kicks all other... -great- job bud...

It attemps to be a jazzy latino tune, but it fails in that it sounds uninspired and boring. Every now and again there's a glimpse of melody (especially the jazzy piano in the middle there is very well made) but unfortunately those come in too long intervals. Technically it was above mediocre.

Wow! This song is truly a very well written piece of music. It's original, and very well done. It captures you attention and you find yourself kind of grooving to it. It has nicely worked out verses and a good chorus. There are some really nice samples and the author puts them to good use. The song is set to a latin style of music, and the author keeps that style fresh and experiments with it as the song progresses, trying new things I have not heard before. This is technically a very well written song, and an enjoyable one to listen to. I commend the author on their skill and originality.

"Rio De Brazil" does everything just about right, as far as I can tell. The beginning of the song is a bit rough, but "RDB" smooths itself out quickly. From then on, its a wonderful, Brazilian inspired ride. Transitions are seamless, samples and panning are used...to a tee. Even the ending of the song is well done, not rushed or hurried at all. With 30 channels used, the song sounds a bit tinny in FT2.

The opening flute could use a little bit more work to bring out a greater realism, but otherwise it gets off to a great start. The leads are easy to follow and are interesting. Volumes are balanced quite evenly. The piano work shows some real talent. Instrumentation was very appropriate for the overall composition of the song and the light piano interjections were welcome. The biggest criticism has to be the metalic sound or "closed" feeling of the samples as they don't sound to have been equalized and come across fake---the difference from listening to instruments from a cheap Casio as compared to a high-end Roland. A little more reverb could have been in order as well. In all, very nice.
