An interesting blend of styles.. I miss a catchy melody line in there, and it gets uninteresting after a while. Nice ending, though.

Pretty good song overall, with a nice lazy relaxing feel. Sample 12 in patterns 15-22 is too noisy. The drums are really well sequenced, the high-hats sound real. The bassline is really good and the chord progression makes the song really interesting to listen to over and over. Alot of weird panning which suprisingly came out well, I barely noticed that the snare and bassdrum were panned on the left side because of the strong baseline panned on the right. Every part of the song is interesting to listen to, if I focus on one part (drums, chords, lead, etc) the song still sounds good. Everything seems well in place. The only problem I have here is that the piece is a little boring. It's a very good piece but not memorable.

The intro does a nice job of introducing the mood of the song, though I think the pause leading into the main section is a bit too long. The main melody is nice and complex and does an excellent job of blending in with background effects. I particularly enjoyed the trumpet sounding flares you included. The only glaring problem I see is the stretch of the drum/cymbal combination. It is too loud and definitely overshadows the more interesting parts of the song. Overall, a very nice song.

A very soft and pleasing song. Reminds me of Steely Dan. The technique and samples are adequately used to support the overall feeling. The thing that does not please me is the somewhat muzak-ish tone.

The Overall cannot be more than 45 as there are many things not thought about. For example, the drums sound more like hardrockdrums than sweet soul-popdrums as they should. The overall feel of this song is that it was made with the heart but was transferred to the computer with stiff fingers. The song doesn't give me any nostalgia or chill at all, even if the idea is well thought, the performance isn't well tought. The instruments are well-sampled but lacks geniality. Perhaps the author didn't have the instruments this song demanded. The author earns a credit for his fine ideas, though. To the technique: The only adjustements I can see and hear are volume changes and stereo delays, some faint portamentos, but they're easy to count. Here is much to do: it's not forbidden to use portamento on the rhodes/guitar soloinstrument to give the listener more groove. The bass bends a little bit in the beginning, but then silences and becomes weaker in the second part. Still the bassline is well thought in the second part. But as I said earlier, this song lacks feeling. As a veteran, you shouldn't forget that.

A nice relaxing song. The beginning seems to flow along quite nicely. The slow down and change of tempo at order __ I think might need a little work though. The melody introduced after the intro is really catchy, while keeping the slight relaxing theme. This is a well done song. A problem with the transition to the jazz segment of the song would have to be the transition into it. The jazz seems to start too quickly, and might even be too drastic of a change for the song. Consider making this section flow easier or deleting it. Overall a good song, very enjoyable, and a nice theme. Well done.
