Fun song...but way to comlex of a style for an open competition such as this. Efects may almost be overused...but used well. Samples well chosen...fits mood of song, very well.

A nice track that sounds really professional and seems to be composed by a real expert, but it has one big problem and that is that the music drowns in notes. In my opinion there are far too many of them. But I have to admit I don't like this sort of jazz music at all, so this might be an explanation. The sample set is quite okay, but there's only samples that you might expect in this style and that have been used too often in modules before (or at least samples that sound similar). The only exceptions are the occasional speech (or other human noise) samples. All in all a technically well made but nevertheless boring song.

No prizes for guessing who I think wrote this one, and if I'm wrong then it's a very good imitation at least. This really is a musical freak show - eery and jazzy parts tossed together, insane sound effects and occasional vocals keep the the tune fresh. Indeed, a few of the transitions, most notably from positions 15 to 16, are a bit TOO harsh. Everything is in tune, chord changes and driving melodies often a bit hectic but nonetheless interesting - main lead slides down the scales too much througout the tune. Drums are well mixed and never fail to keep the feet pumping. My only real gripe about the track is the style; granted, it's 'theme' does make it different, but as the tracker obviously has considerable musical ability it would have been a more interesting exercise to write something more original. Technically excellent - if the results of past two MC's are any indication of what people like to hear, this will go far.

It seems that the author had wanted to mix the last year winners in the intermediate and veteran categories. But he doesn't succeed. The end even make me remember Skaven's 'Catch that goblin'. Some samples are WAVE ones, or they are too close. The rythm changes makes the different parts of the song feel like glued with gum. The beginning, after all, can be heared without problems and shows good skills. The rest is all messed.

Very well tracked, game style music, super nice samples, very nice links between the parts. Nice echos, professional composed music, The song sounds very much with music from consoles (SEGA especially). Many variations in the song... Overall, a good tune...
