You have a nice voice, but an awfully bad accent. Nice tracked, smooth transitions, catchy chorus. But to be quite honest I've had it up to HERE with "vote for me" tunes - the concept has become tedious and it lacks originality. I really hope that this tune does NOT get a high placing, because the lyrics are so terribly pathetic that it's frightening. The title doesn't exactly justify anything either. And the part in the middle with the "vote for me / I am the best" vocal sequences being repeted in the background lasts too long. Still, seeing that you're probably a well-known guy with good technique and sense of harmonies and rhythm, I hope that you can do better and more original stuff next time.

Forget...rest...of...entries...must...vote...for...TLB... Bwahahaa. Really, it's a pretty good song, definitely a veteran-level tracking effort. Good vocals, nice electric piano fill-ins, well-balanced stereo panning, interesting changes of pace, and it fits its title perfectly. The only criticism is that slapped bass guitar---a little strong compared to the percussion line. The chord progression wasn't spectacular but it kept me interested. Congrats.

This song is just screaming for me to vote for it for some strange reason, so here I am. (Well, that, and it was assigned to me.) Even though the idea is not original by any means (Leinad's vote4me.mod is actually one of my favorite mods) it was done beautifully, and humorously. The author obviously has a good knowledge of the FT2 sample editor and the tracker itself, as it is well tracked. The intro is cute with the vinyl scratching, and the ending is executed nicely as well. I thouroughly enjoyed this song, and once I figured out what the lyrics were (it took me two times because of the distortion) I laughed really hard. Good luck in Round 2!

This is a great song ;). Not only are you cocky enough to have voice samples saying that you're the best and to vote for you, but you actually back it up by producing really good music ;).. nice job.

Well put together though the ending could use a little work. Creative and definitely original, however conceited it is. I liked the subliminal messages, they were pretty convincing. :) Nice choice of, and usage of samples. Change of mood in the song keeps it interesting. Good echos too.

As far as I can hear, it's nearly flawless. Crisp, clean, professional. Interesting theme. Slap bass coulda been a little louder, i dunno. Great "arabian" sequence after some phrases. Provides a good contrast and transition (also reminds me of Kashmir by Led Zepplin, heh). Nice ambient background. You move the piece along greatly to keep attention, like at around 2:40... there starts a new pattern. I have no idea what kinda chord or scale that is, i'm not a veteran, but it sounds awesome. Supports the background floating, dreamy feel. Great ironic lyrics. I still can't get what he's saying.. after vote for me, i will come..... Great Intro, I'm sure your creative talents coulda juiced up a better ending.

Heheee.. funny. Tracking's definitely veteran. Full of variation and full of interest. The song successfully incorperates almost all aspects of tracking that exists (from the record in m6v-vnyl to even the overdriven voice in m6v-llgt! :) . Love how sample 51 was used (didn't sound chippy?! :) Of course, I'll have to come to the voice: improve it. No doubt that voice brought down the song. It sounds detatched and unnatural. Another interesting developement with judging a vocal song is that suddenly the lyrics become a part of the equation. No matter how I try I couldn't separate it from judging the music. Yes, lyrics are indeed a part of the song - as I found I couldn't help laughing ;) But anyway, very well tracked. Just get some more practice singing or get someone like zauron to sing for ya :) Otherwise, it's a perfect lil' ditty.

"Vote for me / I wanna win the competition / Vote for me / or I'll never stop bitching." The profound lyrics to Leinad's 4-channel entry at Assembly 94. I'll just assume the author wasn't there, because I really liked this one, and I wouldn't like to think of it as some blatant ripoff. Well, that's a really unfair judgment anyway, since there's a whole lot more to this little gem. If originality was a bigger issue in the first round, I might dwell on the "it's been done before" issue some more. I've found myself humming the chorus more than once, which doesn't happen often, at least when it comes to tracked music. The song is professionally put together, everything works out quite nicely, however I found the descending pre-chorus lead line a bit annoying, and the "crackling vinyl" intro is like the tenth I've heard this year. And the lyrics are kind of silly, slightly too much so for my taste, even if it's supposed to be a joke. Other than that, I have no complaints about the sample set, it goes together well and the sound quality is high, despite the seemingly low sample rates and 8 bit resolution. I wonder if I'm the only one who heard "Walk This Way" in there? Anyhow, I suspect (or at least sincerely hope) this tune will do well.. if I don't see it in the second round, something must be seriously wrong with the world.

A nice vocal tune with a deceptive title and intro. The connection between intro and the main theme sounds cut and doesn't quite sit well leaving the listener with a raw un-polished feeling. Perhaps a slightly different intro could have been used, or rephrased slightly to lead better into the main part of the tune. Some of the voicesounds out of tune or clashes with something in the backing (the "Listen to my voice" sample is most prominent). Orchestration and production is very well done. Apart from the the panning sounding a little raw in the electric piano bridge, it is well balanced. The one noticable thing about this tune is the effort put into the samples. They are of above average quality, cleanly looped, and well produced. The composer has a good understanding of tracker commands and utilises the features of FT2 well. I'd like to see some more styles of music by this author.

This modul is fun and great. It is outstanding!!! The style is unusual but afterlistening to it several times i liked it very much. The vocals are not perfect but they are really ok.

Wow. This is the best joke entry I've ever heard come through Music Contest. :-) It takes balls to write a song like this with a straight face, and it gets very good marks for originality just for being so unapologetically forced and overdone (I'm giving points for aptly naming the tune). This song pushes an envelope and is sure to shake up the Contest same as Alcoholica shook up ST demo parties. :-) Unfortunately, "within the context of the song" isn't an absolute defense against a mediocre form rating. The drums were quite well-done and well-chopped, but a few of the samples (like that slap bass) sound odd when taken out of their intended range. Nice (if unsubtle) simulated record static at the beginning, right down to that skip near row 70 in order 0 (or did you not mean to do that?). Tracking is technically sound (good panning without wobbling all over the place) and the song seems to take up an average number of virtual channels for this sort of music. This song is an excellent illustration of the power of excess. If only for the corny lyrics, it's a keeper.

This song relies heavily on vocals. Unfortunately the lyrics are bullshit, and not even very funny at that. Vocal performance is among the best I have heard in the scene. Your tracking skills are not up to the same level, nor your musical prowess. Slap/pop bass is ridicilous and the string background sounds lame. Electric piano is, fortunately, more than decent. The part beginning at pos 31 is a good idea. It is a nice song, but not exactly my idea of "art".
