What a nice beginning! Warm strings chords - I really liked them. The other samples aren't worse... But after that great intro I cannot imagine what happened to the main part :( Those chords are just hanging over the space like the voice samples, the panflute is a straight stab in my ears, strong volume does not fit into the whole stuff. These are in fact technical faults. The whole main part is kindda monotonous, and I don't like that synth lead you put in the pattern 18. Very unsuitable, sharp, and pushes the other instruments into the background. Well, not a bad song at all, just i won't remember to the main aim and the melody tommorow... a better mediocre entry.

A really nice, very near professional-quality tune some world music elements in it. I didn't find any flaws from this tune, and that's not very usual. The overall mood of this song was great and it was done with good technique and taste. The powerlead solo from order 16 was nice. Sample quality was also good, and the sample use in this tune was very skillful, so the samples fit together really well. The only thing that keeps this song from being a real world-class track is that there was nothing really special, that would explode one's mind.

This is a great tune. Right from the very beginning the mood it set, and get one interested in the piece straight away. The use of counter melodies is great, and the selection of samples is good as well. The whole flow of the piece is great, as the tune always seems to going somewhere. I really liked the synth 'lead-break' or second melodic theme. Good use of delays/echoes and dynamics. I really like this tune. A very fine job.

Oooooo... Man I wish my entry was this good. This song was FANTASTIC! The main problem I noticed was the maximum number of channels... 51!!! Most soundcards can't even mix that many, not to mention computers (mine). I did do a WAVE Writer on it to see what it really sounds like. This song was very professionally done, and it was turned in very early too. I can't say much bad about this one, except that the chord progression might have been repeated to often, but this musician definitly knew what he/she was doing. This song is most deffinatly could be a finalist. Great Job.

Excellent panning with the pad samples, which are lush and sound magnificent and majestic. When the percussion sounds start with the gong I almost stood up from my chair. The flute lead is executed well. Anyway, the synthy sound appearing before the drums start in earnest hurt my ears. The drum beat should be either much more massive to balance out the pads or alternatively background beat created with for example ethnic percussion sounds. I was a bit disappointed when the dominant synthlead started. It is executed very well, but the melody is kind of meaningless. What takes your score down most is the general lack of direction in this song. It has a great mood and a huge sound, and any single part is worth of praise, but as a whole it just leaves me waiting for some kind of dominant theme or motif to stick out. As it is, it is a compilation of ideas. Among whose are some of the best I have heard in the tracking scene. If only, if only you'd have created a melody and a theme to complement the great sound and mood of your tune, this one would be something to remember.

The very beginning of this song strikes me as a little bit too full... too many instruments appearing and going away, for instance. But after that false start is material that makes me wonder what music technology would be like if the Amiga had 32 channels. Excellent instrument collection, with clean, well-tuned samples and skillful use of NNA's. Bonus points for de-enveloping the samples and letting the tracker do all the dynamics, like that gong (a technique I've worshipped for years) -- skilled trackers don't need no steenkin' 16-bit samples! Some leads have too many notes (the second half of order 16 comes to mind, as well as the false start with the sitar at the end of order 5) and get caught on some wrong notes, and I think I'd've preferred sticking to pentatonic scales for those leads. Very good luxurious chord progressions that sound more real than tracked. This tune has plenty of depth and thickness to it (with 51 virtual channels, it had better!), and simply bursts with lots of history and even more talent. It knows where it's going and takes one there very competently. There's no doubt in my mind this one goes to Round 2.

This is an interesting song. The introduction is well studied, and the pan flute fits well here. Powerful is the entrace, starting from pattern 6, but here I would have changed pan flute with some other instrument, or at least used a lower volume and moved panning a little on the right. Nice substitution for the main theme with the synth-lead starting from pattern 18. Again, I would have lowered volume of echoed voices, to avoid band saturation, but this may also be the effective idea of the author. Samples are clean, and technique is noticeable. A well done composition.

Well, well. There's nothing i would have changed in here,if i could. The beginning is great,i love the flute sound. It strikes me how the composer is in control of everything going on,like the percussion, playing a little submelody of it's own. Nothing ever gets out of hand, volume is perfect on each sample. Every single little sound is in balance with the others, the portas are where they should be. Just when the song is in danger of either ending or getting repetitive, the composer steps up a level and delivers a really great keyboard solo, with a nice return to the soft melody again. This is worldclass tracking,i wouldn't complain if this song came on a single.I really like this.It reminds me of the mood on Vangelis' 1492 (a fave album of mine). One of the better modules i've ever heard. Honestly. How could i ever tell the composer what to improve on? Let's hope this still sounds this great a month from now.

Pretty good all the way through, but could use better volume effects, lead could be louder, samples could be of a higher quality they sound under toned, good smooth transitions though could have some more dramatic ones or parts of the song. Some things are out of tune...

I don't think my comments about your song can do it justice, but simply by saying that I think you get the idea ;-)... I really got into this song, so much in fact, it's one of the very few which gave me shivers (a good thing!). From the start I could tell it would be a whole different journey. Most of all, I loved the 15th instrument and the way you used it. I'm also glad the beat went overly-well with the song. It wasn't very repetative, and the sample selection for the drums was well picked. Maybe the flute's volume could've been a little lower, but that's neglegable. One thing which has nothing to do with music itself you might like to keep in mind next time though. When the song "loops back" to it's start at the end (like all songs do in a track when you're playing them) the volume is still set to zero from the ending fadeout. You might try having a "reset" pattern at the start of your song, to put volumes/pans in proper place next time. I had to stop and start the song after each run. And when you want to listen to a good song, it sort of annoys you ;-).... Yes, I liked the song that much. One grip I must make though. Order 13 got very quiet, and I could tell something was building up. Great, except that what was building up was a melody based on instrument #19. I could pretty much guess what "type" of instrument was about to be used, and it's an overused sample (IMHO). It does sute the song very well though, but I've heard it far too many times before. Regardless of all of the above, a terrific piece of work!!! I'd love to hear more.
