I love the soft ambient texture of the song. It's atmosphere is not especially unique, but well constructed. My complaint is that the song only has developement. The entire song was buildup. I kept expecting something big to break but nothing happened. That's probably also why I was disappointed by the ending. It simply faded away. I was still expecting something to come. Probably the only major "event" was the key change in order 25. From there I felt that either the song was going to lead to something bigger or lead to an ending. Well, I guess it went to finish :) Still, this song is a great compillation and should be a triumph to the musician as it exhibits many aspects of his skill. He uses the drums like a pro. He successfully mixes background synths with a pulsing bass and a well developed semi-leading synth. Even stereo was impressive. BTW: did you know the song sounds a bit muted? There were no samples that pierced your ears or shouted at the listener. Instead the samples were soft and mellow, whispering to the listener. At first I thought this couldn't catch people's attention fast enough to score high. Yet the music was compelling and was one of the few I kept on my harddisk. I'm suprised but glad it made it this far :)

An OK intro leading to a plinkplonk-thing you introduce at order 04 which I don't like the least. I don't like your Robert Miles-twists in there either. Enter the drums: they should definitely have been of an other character; they remind me of old Enigma tunes with a touch of '92 Clock releases. Not good. The rhythm gets better at order 14, though, but still it's not more than of average quality. The bass is somewhat Lizardking'ish but worse executed (it also gets a tad better further "into" the tune). The lead is anonymous and generic and as this tune fades out I sit here with NO impression whatsoever. I can't figure out what makes this tune a round 2-qualifier seeing that it really is not worth keeping at all. I'm sorry.

A quite original song. "Quite" because, though this is a rather unusual style, it still sounds a bit too typical for the scene's music culture. Artistically spoken, it's also quite (ehehe) strange... The song really is sort of repetitive, as there are only few patterns which have a slightly different chord progression than the others... but still, the tune manages to somehow catch the listener's attention, maybe because there are so many different nice ideas how to build a melodic structure upon this always repeating harmonic and rhythmic fundament. But those ideas are nicely tracked - I like them. Coming to the technical rating, the song uses its resources quite well and has a well-balanced effect usage, apart from one thing: PANNING. My god, where have you learnt that lead instruments have to wildly swing left and right, making everyone listening to your song with headphones seasick? And also the rest of the panning is not really better... starting with those confounding random-panned "beeps" at the beginning, and not ending at that sequence on channels 12-14 which has perfectly middle-panned echoes... well, at least the drums are panned quite well. In your next song, just follow the rule "less is more", ok? ;)) The sample set is fresh, containing leads, pads and drums which are not at all too often heard, sample quality is ok, the loops are also ok (that shortly looped snare sound is a bit disturbing, tho)... only the bass samples are a little out of tune, but in the arrangement, this does not negatively affect anything, so what. In a whole, this tune "feels" quite nice, nothing TOO special, but without doubt decent. A nice effort.

Extreme panning envelopes make the pads and lead sound annoying (why not just manual panning?). I'd cut off those pizzicatos when the lead comes in as it just sounds sloppy. Pads too repetitive. Good, smooth sample set. Excellent multisampled bass. A rather dull laid-back tune that is held back from being anything great by its sheer lack of variation, despite new drums and lead in the second half.

Nice and relaxing, but not an exceptionally original tune. Samples were mostly ok (some minor clicking with my soundcard) and there was nothing in technique or form to blame about. The problem was just that there was nothing memorable in the song, the tune was more like background music. But still, enjoyable song.

this is a really nice song. Mellow and relaxing. Good use of panning and effects. Not random at all.

The starting theme to this song is rather good, and is played on some excellent synth samples. This is a well tracked piece, with clear leads and a nice sample set, although sample 32hex, which was used with heavy portamentos, wasn't too good in that situation, and a quality synth sample might have been better. This is a nice relaxing song, though, with good sound quality. I don't like the drums too much however - they were a bit harsh, and it needed something softer I think, especially the tambourine sound. It's quite well tracked though, and they actually sound like a drumloop even though it's tracked, so kudos for that (although the samples are probably individual sounds cut from drumloops). This song has some nice themes - in the final third and near the end some really nice melodies come in. It's quite simple, but works well. It's all pretty good, technically, with good use of envelopes and panning. Watch the fine tuning on the samples though, as a small number of them seemed slightly off pitch - it needed a small fine tune to fix. Overall, a good, relaxing and enjoyable song which is simple but effective, and helped a great deal by a few excellent samples in the set which lift the whole thing - it has a certain professionalism about it, and some originality too.

Unique kind of music, composed with good technique & samples, but felt like done with no great inspiration, kinda like "I-have-to-make-music". Nothing special or remarkable happened in the whole song. I thought on the first patterns that this'll get better, it has to. But it didn't. In fact, the song got worser after the first 10 patterns (ofcourse, because I had heard everything of this song already). The samples were good, except the sinwave, what heard in the song often. I don't like the way you used it. Boring and repeative song, IMO. (Sorry 'bout so short comments, but I have to hurry to make to the deadline, what is really close.)

Mostly clean samples, good loops. I've heard this style some times before, but only from the best. Good harmonies, nice portamentoed melodies, a bit boring. Good panning, good use of portas, not so many FX. Versatile, if a bit average beats. An enjoyable tune with a slight lack of variation. Sorry for not going more in-depth.
